DESCRIPTION:
The incredible view of the Sacred Mountains (Apus/Gods) Snowcaps protectors and the offers to the Heart Mom(Pachamama) even in these days is a tradition in the Andean Man, its name is Syncretism. He’s present like a God All Powered maker in his faith acts. It’s shown at K’eros. His habitants still now are practicing the Andean’s Predecessors Religión, with their uses and very peculiar traditions in their different festivities during the year.
ITINERARY:
Briefing the night before the departure.
Day 01: CUSCO – CHEQTAK’UCHO
We’ll begin our trip in Cusco, our bus will take us from the hotel al 8 Am, to go to Cheqtak’ucho passing for the following villages: Urcos, Catca, Kaure, Ocongate, Tinki, Mawayani and Walla Walla. We will drive for 190 Km. Approximately, after the WallaWalla high pass (4760 masl or 15,708 Ft.), we will Camp in Cheqtacucho(4,000 masl. Or 13,200 Ft), This day we’ll walk for 8 hours Approximately.
Day 02: CHEQTACUCHO - HUALLATA PAMPA
We will begin the trekking this day at 8 Am Approx. this day, we’ve to walk until our next campsite HuallataPampa(4,000 masl or 12,800 Ft.). The gradient is really soft and we’ll observe small houses stony made with straw roofs. Arriving to the first high pass (4,500 masl or 14,850 Ft.) Is possible to see distantly Vicuñas. After it we’ll descend to Kikosk'ucho, then we’ll go up to the 2nd high pass arriving to our 2nd campsite (Huallata Pampa) at 5:00 p.m. approx.
Day 03: HUALLATA PAMPA - HUCHUY KEROS
At midday more or less we’ll arrive to the Community of Huchuy Keros (3,900 masl. Or 12,870 Ft.) Place to share our Lunch with the Paq'os(Wizards) Curanderos(Healers) and his relatives. In the evening we Hill have a ceremony for the Pachamama (Heart Mom) offering a gift for our group’s healt, ending with a campfire.
Day 04: HUCHUY KEROS
We’ll participate in common local activities (Sacrifice o fan alpaca, plan tour meals or take care of them), in the evening we’ll give other gift for the Spirit Mountains we’ll do this with a campfire too.
Day 05: HUCHUY KEROS – CHEQTAK’UCHO
We’ll begin our trekking at 7:00 Am. Until Cheqtak'ucho, arriving there at 5 Pm. Campsite(4,000 masl. 13,200 Ft.).
Day 06: CHEQTAK’UCHO - CUSCO
This day we’ll go back to Cusco in our Bus.
